Bob started Pease Insurance in 2005 and recently combined his business with Capital Region Benefits. He has over 30 years of insurance industry experience that includes independent agencies and insurance carriers. Group benefit concepts are constantly changing and updating. Legislation requires employers to adhere to new provisions, and carriers make changes to programs. Employers have difficulty keeping abreast of all aspects of group health care benefit management (including plan offerings and designs, plan pricing, compliance, the impact of human resource decision on benefit administration). We urge small employers to utilize the services of a benefit consultant and highly recommend Diane Barber at Capital Region Benefits. This is what Diane and her staff have done for Pennsylvania Counseling Services since 2008:

  • Review plan alternatives and carrier costs at each plan renewal (to include self-funding opportunities)
  • Make recommendations and implement programs that reduce costs while maintaining an attractive program
  • Educate executives on changes in healthcare concepts
  • Assist staff in maintaining benefit program (enrollments, billing, claims, policies, etc.)
  • Provide guidance or services on benefit-related matters (HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, etc.)
  • Conduct employee meetings and interface with employers regarding concerns (benefits, coverage and claims)
  • Provide guidance on annual reporting requirements (e.g. Form 5500)

Capital Region Benefits has been extremely helpful in ensuring we manage our health care costs. They stay up to date on the most current trends and places great emphasis on servicing not only the company but our employees. Capital Region Benefits is “hands on” when it comes to problem solving and is always available to work one-on-one with executives and employees. We rely on Capital Region Benefits’ expertise to keep us in a plan that works the best for our company—and that makes my job easier!
